At Bee’s Books, we are committed to providing our customers with a seamless shopping experience and transparent policies. Please review the following guidelines carefully before making your purchase.
1. General Policy
Bee’s Books specializes in second-hand books and e-books. Each item’s condition is clearly outlined in its listing description. By making a purchase, you acknowledge and accept the condition as described. As such, returns or refunds for a change of mind or dissatisfaction with the book’s condition or literary content are not accepted. Not enjoying a novel or reading experience is not grounds for return or refund.
2. Eligibility for Returns and Refunds
We understand that sometimes items may be damaged during transit. Under our policy, returns and refunds are only accepted if the product received is damaged during delivery. This applies to physical (second-hand) books. If digitally delivered e-books are corrupt, we will resend the file. If you receive an item that is damaged upon arrival, please review the instructions in Section 3 below.
3. How to Report Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged:
- Notification Timeline: Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order.
- Documentation: Include clear photos of the damage and a brief description of the issue.
- Contact Method: Send your email to hello@beesbooks.co.za with your order number and details of the damage.
- Evaluation: Once the damage is verified, we will offer a refund or, if preferred, a replacement where available.
Please note that we cannot accept returns if the item was not reported damaged within the stipulated time frame.
4. Non-Returnable/Non-Refundable Situations
- Condition Acceptance: All items are sold as described. Since the condition is stated in each item’s listing, general wear, markings, or any minor imperfections are not considered grounds for a return.
- Change of Mind: A buyer’s personal preference or general dissatisfaction after reading the book does not qualify for a return or refund.
- Digital Products: Once an e-book is downloaded or the digital file is accessed, it is considered delivered. Technical issues with software or personal compatibility are not grounds for a refund unless the file itself is corrupted or damaged during download, in which case we will resend the product.
5. Refund Processing
- Review Process: Once your claim has been received and verified, our customer service team will process your refund within 7 business days.
- Refund Method: Refunds will be issued via the original method of payment. Please allow additional time for your financial institution to process the refund.
- Shipping Charges: Shipping fees from the original delivery are not refundable unless otherwise stated in the case of company error.
