How would you feel if you had a good job in a pleasant community and then were told to pack up and drive to California? What would your reaction be if, while you were driving across the country to California (somewhat to your sur-prise) your new car and trailer, along with most of your prized possessions, were destroyed in a freak traffic accident, an acci-dent that miraculously left you and your family un-touched, but in the middle of nowhere? How would you feel if, once you finally got to your destination, you soon found yourself singlehandedly overseeing the construction of a massive new church building using only the enthusiastic but unskilled labor of your parishioners with the precarious backing of a bank balance that generally registered zero?
Would you feel like yelling YE GODS! and head-ing for Tahiti?
Or would you shout PRAISE THE LORD! and then keep an eye peeled for miracles?
